Before the Abbey reopens next summer, there is an opportunity to experience one of Estate's most spectacular natural events.
This autumn, our expert Deer Keepers will once again host the popular Deer Rutting Tours, taking guests into areas of the 3,000 acre Woburn Deer Park that are normally closed to the public.
Places are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.
What To Expect
Travelling by trailer, you will have the opportunity to see some the magnificent deer within the grounds, before heading back to The Woburn Hotel to sample Woburn Venison.
Our tours are timed to coincide with the peak rutting season, one of nature's most dramatic spectacles, when males in the herds compete for dominance.
Along the way, our Deer Keepers will share fascinating insights into the Estate's internationally important deer herds - all nine of them - and the conservation work that has taken place here for generations.
Each tour will last between 1.5 - 2 hours, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy these special animals and capture beautiful photographs of them, at golden hours of the day.
Once your tour is complete, the Deer Keepers will return you to The Woburn Hotel.
Here you will be able to warm up with a hot drink. You will also be invited to sample Woburn Venison, with a delicious breakfast roll or burger - depending on the timeslot booked.

Note all bookings must be made in advance. The meeting point will be in the carpark by The Woburn Hotel.

Please note, October can be a wet and chilly month, so please come dressed in suitable clothing and footwear.
Children are welcome on board the trailer if aged 12 years or over, but they must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Dogs are not permitted.
