The Duchess’ Tea Room is set within the grounds of Woburn Abbey and offers a fine selection of teas, coffees, cakes and biscuits all freshly prepared. Alongside this there is a range of light lunches and snacks; all of which can be enjoyed inside, outside or in the gardens.

Suki Teas and Hot Drinks

A wide selection of loose leaf premium Suki pots of tea and infusions are available to choose from as well as coffees and other hot drinks. Choose from Woburn Abbey’s own Fairtrade Woburn Blend, a Fairtrade Earl Grey Blue Flower or the more exotic Mango Tango and White Tea Mao Feng. All our coffees are made with Fairtrade coffee beans, freshly ground and brewed.

Afternoon Tea At Woburn

Afternoon Tea was popularised in the 1840s by Duchess Anna Maria, wife to the 7th Duke of Bedford. During your visit to Woburn Abbey and Gardens, why not enjoy Afternoon Tea with your friends and family at The Bedford Room?  Download our Afternoon Tea Menu served in The Bedford Room.

Served from 2.00pm to 4.00pm in the summer season, when the gardens are open. Afternoon Tea is served in The Bedford Room, which is located in the Grounds of the Abbey.

For groups visiting Woburn Abbey and Gardens we can, by prior arrangement, offer coffee, tea and biscuits upon arrival, a two course lunch with tea or coffee at The Duchess' Tea Room and a delicious Afternoon or Cream Tea.

Bedford Tea Room

In June 2015, the new Bedford Tea Room was opened in addition to The Duchess' Tea Room, due to the popularity of afternoon tea at Woburn. Located in North Court, just a few 100 yards from The Duchess' Tea Room, The Bedford Tea Room is open for pre-booked Duchess Anna Maria Afternoon Tea only, each day that Woburn Abbey is open.
