Ride in a supercar at Father’s Classic Day Out

Sunday 16th June is Fathers’ Day and what better way to keep dad entertained than by taking him to the Fathers’ Classic Day Out held in the grounds of the Woburn Estate in Bedfordshire.

A huge range of classic and performance vehicles will be attending this popular annual show, including a 50th anniversary display of the iconic Porsche 911 and classic scooters from the 60’s.

This year there will be classic music from Samantha Hughes who sings pop and rock ‘n’ roll covers from the 1950s and 1960s, capturing the essence of songs by the likes of Connie Francis, Brenda Lee, Helen Shapiro, Dusty Springfield, and The Andrew Sisters, and bringing back those special memories as if they were only yesterday.

The Sporting Bears Car Club will be attending the show and offering their famous ‘Dream Rides’ where, for a donation to their children’s charity, you can get to ride around the Bedfordshire countryside in one of a mouth-watering selection of classic and sports cars – including the awesome and beautiful Ferrari P4 replica.

In the arena there will be a return of the noisy ‘Decibel Duel’ where we find out who has the loudest car in the show, and kids can cheer while their dads play live ‘Top Trumps’. The silent and mysterious ‘Stiq’, a distant cousin of the famous Top Gear ‘Stig’ will be at the show, raising money for ‘Hearing Dogs for the Deaf’.

You can see probably the world’s largest funfair made from the K’nex, the classic children’s building set, which will be on show raising money for another great charity, Great Ormond Street Children Hospital.

The Woburn estate offers a great range of entertainments for all the family with entry to the show, deer park, beautiful gardens, and antiques centre included in the ticket price.

Public admission on the day is £8 for adults. £4 for children under 16.  Gates open at 10am. All Dad’s will receive a free copy of ‘Classic Cars’ magazine as and additional Father’s Day gift!
