Run with the Reindeer for the RNLI

Tie up your laces, put on your antlers and help the RNLI raise some doe at this year’s Reindeer Run. Taking place in the Deer Park around Woburn Abbey on Sunday 24th November, it promises to be a festive family day out.

On Sunday 24th November we’ll be hosting three races: a 5km run, a 10km run and a 1km walk, also known as the ‘Santa Saunter’. The last event is open to children provided they bring an accompanying adult. Rookie the Reindeer, the RNLI mascot will be taking part in the event and every participant will receive antlers, a Reindeer Run t-shirt and a medal on completion.

Entry fees for the three different races go to the RNLI. As a charity they depend on donations to help them meet the costs of saving lives at sea. Their volunteer lifeboat crews give their time for free, but they are reliant on the generosity of others to fund the necessary training, equipment, lifeboats and shore facilities. There are 236 lifeboat stations around the UK and Ireland and their lifeguards patrol over 200 beaches each summer.

If you want to take part, you will need to hurry as registration closes on the 20th November.  You can find more information on the RNLI website. On the day, please follow the signs for entry and parking.
