Woburn Abbey is conveniently located approximately 10 minutes drive from the M1 motorway. If you are using a SatNav, please enter the postcode: MK17 9WA. There is plenty of parking for cars and coaches in our car park adjacent to the Abbey and Gardens.

The most convenient train station for Woburn Abbey is at Flitwick, where there is a taxi rank. Unfortunately there is no public transport to or from Woburn Abbey and Gardens. 

By car. When you enter Woburn village, follow the sign to the Abbey down Park Road. You will pass between two gateposts with lions on top. After a couple of minutes you will cross a cattle grid. Turn right immediately after this. You are now on the entrance road to Woburn Abbey, Gardens and Deer Park.

  • Woburn Abbey is signposted from Junction 13 of the M1. 
  • Follow the signs at the roundabout and junction and you will be directed via the A507. 
  • Follow the signs onto the A4012 towards Husborne Crawley and Ridgmont. 
  • Follow the A4012 through Husborne Crawley, past the Safari Park entrance and continue on to Woburn village. 
  • Turn left at the T-junction towards the High Street.
  • Park Street is approximately 300m on the left, just before The Woburn Hotel.
  • Follow Park Street onto the Woburn Estate and turn right after the second cattle grid for Woburn Abbey and Gardens Admissions. 
  • There is a 2 mile drive through the deer park, after Admissions, so you have an opportunity to enjoy the deer and landscape before arriving at the car park at Woburn Abbey and Gardens. 
  • From Junction 12 of the M1, take the A5120 towards Flitwick and go through 1 roundabout. 
  • Turn left, signposted towards Eversholt and Tingrith.
  • Follow this road to a T-Junction and turn left. The sign is to Eversholt, and there is a brown sign for the Abbey and Safari Park. 
  • Follow this road onto and through the Woburn Estate. 
  • Turn Left before the cattle grid on the far side of the estate to reach Woburn Abbey and Garden Admission.
  • There is a 2 mile drive through the deer park, after Admissions, so you have an opportunity to enjoy the deer and landscape before arriving at the car park at Woburn Abbey and Gardens. 

Northbound

  • If coming Northbound, turn onto the A4012 in Hockliffe and follow this road into Woburn village.
  • Turn right onto Park Street immediately after The Woburn Hotel.
  • Follow Park Street onto the Woburn Estate and turn right after the second cattle grid for Woburn Abbey and Gardens Admissions.
  • There is a 2 mile drive through the deer park, after Admissions, so you have an opportunity to enjoy the deer and landscape before arriving at the car park at Woburn Abbey and Gardens. 

Southbound

  • If coming Southbound, turn onto Sheep Lane at the roundabout with The Flying Fox pub. 
  • Continue straight along this road until the junction in the centre of Woburn village. 
  • At this staggered crossroad, take the road opposite which is Park Street. The Woburn Hotel is on the corner.
  • Follow Park Street onto the Woburn Estate and turn right after the second cattle grid for Woburn Abbey and Gardens Admissions.
  • There is a 2 mile drive through the deer park, after Admissions, so you have an opportunity to enjoy the deer and landscape before arriving at the car park at Woburn Abbey and Gardens. 
  • From both the Westbound and Eastbound carriageways, Woburn Abbey is signposted from Junction 13 of the M1.
