The Woburn Abbey Garden Show, which takes place on the 21st and 22nd June, will have an official 'Show Charity' for the first time this year. We are delighted to announce that the Show Charity for 2014 will be Perennial - a national charity supporting those who work in horticulture when they are facing adversity in their life.
Perennial was established in the 19th century and are celebrating their 175th anniversary this year. However, the charity has moved with the times as both horticulture and the needs of its people have changed. They help by providing money and services, and by ensuring people get the help they need from the government departments, public and private organisations that are there to assist.
We are pleased to be able to support this charity, especially in this anniversary year, and hope that visitors to the Garden Show will enjoy finding out more about what they do. During the show, Perennial will be offering unique VIP experiences with exclusive use of The Duchess' Tea Room during the event. You can find out more about these packages on the Perennial website. For general Garden Show admission you can book online now.
We've also recently added a growing list of exhibitors to the Garden Show event page. There are a range of fantastic nurseries who have confirmed their participation in the show already including Heucheraholics, Palm Exotics and Nobottle Nursery. Our Food Hall is filling up with Breckland Orchard, Buckingham Brewery, Deli Vegetaria, and Friar's Farm all offering delicious refreshments. Pet Piggies will be back once again with a chance to see some very cute little pigs, and a range of artists will be exhibiting their work including Rachel Carter, Alistair Howie and Abigail Mill.
