Unfortunately we experienced some issues with this year’s Luminaries Woburnensis event. Despite preparation to accommodate the expected increase in visitor numbers we found that much of our preparation proved fruitless when faced with the inclement weather. We are aware that better organisation was required, and were disappointed to find that many of our contingency plans, particularly those in place for car parking and traffic control, were not adequate. We are very disappointed that all of the hard work that our staff did put into this event resulted in such an unrewarding experience for visitors. We are committed to reviewing our procedures for car parking and traffic management for the future. We would like to sincerely apologise to all of our visitors and will be offering a full refund for the event.
To reassure those who have got in touch directly already, all will be responded to individually by the end of Wednesday 2 December.
What to do to get a refund
I booked in advance online what should I do?
All online bookings will be refunded as a matter of course, you do not need to get in touch directly.
This will take us a little time to complete but is a priority and a team of people are working on this immediately. The money will re-appear via the method you paid originally.
If you have not received a refund by Friday 11th December, please then do get in touch with us on firstname.lastname@example.org and we can look into it further.
I paid by cash/card on the night what should I do?
For security reasons if you paid cash/card on the night, we are sorry that you will need to visit Woburn in person. To avoid delay and further inconvenience we ask you to phone in advance of your visit so that this can be accommodated swiftly on your arrival. The number to call for this is 01525 290333 between the hours of 9am and 5.30pm Mon to Fri, 9am-1pm Saturday.
