Enjoy a private view of some of the treasures housed within Woburn Abbey’s extensive library collection. The viewing will take place in the Holland Library, normally only open 3 days a week and used as the family’s principal drawing room.
See rare, early printed books, beautifully illustrated many with hand-coloured plates, covering a vast array of subjects including natural history, biography, travel, as well as private publications about Woburn Abbey’s history and collections.
The private view will be led by the Curating Team who will provide you with background information on the books and will answer your qestions. Guests are also invited to take a self-guided tour around the Abbey and our Humphry Repton exhibition featuring his famous Red Book for Woburn Abbey.
After your exclusive library visit, enjoy a delicious afternoon tea. Served in The Bedford room in the historic Nother Court, your afternoon tea includes a selection of sandwiches, homemade cakes and scones with clotted cream and jam and a pot of Suki tea or coffee of your choice.
