Terrarium Workshop new

Bedford Estates Head Gardener, Tom Abbott will show you haw to create a terrarium which you will then get to take home.

First seen in Victorian times, modern terrariums are back and are seen again in many homes. Find out how to create your own low-maintenance, landscaped, miniature indoor living garden.

Learn about topography, soil, living conditions, suitable plant types, growing conditions, positioning and care.

Itinerary for the day;

10.30am  -   Morning coffee
10.30am  -   Morning session and demonstration
12noon    - You will take a walk through the Abbey Gardens to the Bog Garden for inspitation. This part of the gardens has a gravel base, similar to the terrarium you will be creating. Tom will be explaining the idea of making topography within the glass vessel.
1.00pm  - Enjoy lunch in the Duchess' Tea Room 
2.00pm  - Practical session to make a terrarium to take home.
4.00pm  - Workshop finish 

£75.00 per person, price includes a two course lunch and all materials needed to create a terrarium.
